Ahren Richter
As an attorney, Ahren’s focus is in the areas of immigration law and criminal defense with an emphasis on immigration law. His immigration experience includes both affirmative relief and removal cases. He has litigated asylum claims, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status with waivers, custody redeterminations, and suppression of evidence in immigration court. He also has experience with adjustment of status, naturalization, consular processing, SIJS/dependency, and U-visas with USCIS and the State Department. His motion practice includes petitions for special action in the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division 2. Additionally, he has appellate experience with the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. At the trial court level, Ahren has experience with petitions for post-conviction relief, petitions for writ of habeas corpus as well as other general pleadings. He speaks and write fluent Spanish and obtained his undergraduate degree in Spanish literature in 2010. He previously taught English as a second language courses with Literacy Connects.
